Updates from Haiti
"Arriving at the school in July was such a treat!!! Seeing how much work has been completed on the school since we were here last year was so exciting... but even better was getting to greet those precious children again!! Through the generosity of so very many back in Canada, we were able to begin construction on the new ART room and were able to finish the cement floor before it was time to leave. The kids remembered me from past years and even though it was their summer break, they showed up each day to learn more ART from the guest teacher... what a privilege to watch them create (especially with the glitter which seemed to get on their faces more than their projects)!! I can't wait to go back again once the ART room is finished and hang all the beautiful banners donated... it will remain as a beautiful visual for these children that there are artists in Canada who love and care."

Below is a video Allison recorded with Cole Brown during her trip in July 2016 where she was able to help start the building of the ART room and teach ART to the students there. It is with sadness that we announce that Cole was killed in a plane crash in October... we will do our very best to continue to build on what Cole had done with Live Different in this community in Haiti. We have extended our fundraising efforts in light of this and hope to be able to not only return to teach ART again, but help meet more of the needs there as well.
